Question:
After researching the different types of acne on the internet I have come to the conclusion that I have pustular acne with occasional cysts. I have acne for seven years now, and now that it has outlasted adolescents and the teen years, I think its time for it to go! I am pretty sure it has something to do with my hormones since I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I have tried every drug store brand and higher end brands of acne wash, cream, toner or spot gel and have tried systems like Acne Free and ProActive. None of these have helped in the slightest. My skin, although I have moderate-moderately severe acne and does typically oily, gets dried out VERY easily and salycylic acid and benzoyl peroxide especially irritate it. I have found sulfur and zinc to be much milder, but they have done little to help my acne. At this point I have given up hope on a topical treatment and am looking for suggestions for prescription antibiotics or medications. Accutane is my last resort, and am unable to take birth control pills due to a medical reason. My doctor is being not very helpful with this, so I have decided I will do the research then specifically ask her for that medication. Thanks you so much for your help!
Answers:You can buy it at a pharmacy, where vitamins are sold.
You need to go to a skin doctor....they should be able to help you more than a reg doc
RaGS sez : Here we go again! I must have answered a dozen acne questions, and and every time I give the same answer, and every time I always get 10 points for giving a "Best Answer." So why argue with success, right! So, here goes! When I was in high school, I had acne, too. I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of those creepy, ugly zits! Well, I finally found the right cure. It was a fairly coarse-grain sandpaper! Yes! That's right! Sandpaper! Well, I'm 60 now and guess who doesn't have acne? You're right! That would be me! Give it a try!
Expecting Immediate Results: Face acne treatment takes time to help your acne. Instead of only giving each acne product a 2 week chance before rushing onto the next treatment, wait about 2-3 months for a conclusion on whether that product has helped you or not.I really hope you try some of those things because it really helped me a lot :)
